Saints of Carmel by Ruth Obbard This book is a brief summary of the well known saints of Carmel.

Included is the story of Elijah from the Bible whom most people would not think of as a Saint. He is viewed as the inspiration of our Order. Our motto is taken from him : I will be zealous for the Lord God of Hosts.

There are the obvious saints like St Teresa and St John, as well as some of the newer, perhaps lesser known ones. These include Teresa of the Andes and Maravillas of Jesus. A number of others are included who fill the middle sector of known by some but not by others.
